He was born on the 4th of August in Castelmassa (Rovigo, ITA).

1952

He obtained his Diploma at the Brera Art Academy in Milan (ITA).

1952

He frequented the Academie Royale des Beaux Arts in Bruxelles (BEL).

1956

He graduated in Architecture at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de la Cambre in Bruxelles (BEL).

1959

Together with Piero Manzoni he founded the art review “Azimuth” and the Galleria Azimut in Milan (ITA).

1966

He won the Gollin Prize at the XXXIII Venice Biennial, Venice (ITA).

1967

He was awarded the Gold Medal at the VI Art Biennial in the Republic of San Marino (SMR).
He was awarded the First Prize at the Nagaoka Museum in Tokyo (JPN).

2010

He was awarded the Praemium Imperiale for Painting in Tokyo (JPN).

2017

He died in Celleno (Viterbo, ITA) on December 1st.
