For the archiving of the works by Enrico Castellani, and for receipt of a certificate of authenticity resulting from the request, the procedure as indicated below must be followed.
An initial contact may be carried out by way of an e-mail, enclosing a photo of the front of the work, one of the back of the work and one the detail of the signature, together with one of authentication (if already given by Enrico Castellani, by the Castellani Archives or another third party), accompanied by a minimum of information regarding the work (the year it was created, the various sizes of the work, its provenance and its exhibition history) and the complete information of the person requesting the authentication (first name(s) and surname, address and telephone number(s)).
On having received the above it will be up to the Enrico Castellani Foundation to verify the material sent and give indications on how the proceed.
In the event the work is already known or archived the Foundation carries out a verification and/or updating the data already present in the Archives of the Foundation with procedures that will be established for each individual case.
The person who has submitted the documentation will be invited to present the work at the offices of the Foundation in Milan for a direct examination. The work must be delivered by the person applying for authentication or else by someone charged by this person deputised to do so in writing, without a frame or other form of containing support and left in the care of the Foundation for the time necessary for its examination.
At the same time as the delivery of the work to the Foundation, together with the MODULE directly downloadable from this site to be completed in its totality and with the photocopy of an identity document, the person submitting the work must supply the following photographic material of professional quality:
– 3 (three) colour prints sized 18 x 24 cm of the front of the work, visible in its entirety;
– 1 (one) colour print sized 18 x 24 cm of the back of the work;
– 1 (one) colour print sized 18 x 24 cm of detail of the artist’s signature
– colour prints sized 18 x 24 cm of any inscriptions, rubber stamps or labels of any kind;
– 1 (one) CD (compact disk) containing the digital reproductions of the front, back and details of the work in Tiff format with a definition of 300 dots per inch, with a minimum base of 30 cm.
The authentication photograph must accompany the work with every change of ownership and in no case whatsoever will it be possible to obtain a duplicate. □ We ask the owner(s) of the works to contact us in every case of sale or change of ownership in such a way as to be able to constantly update the Foundation’s database, together with the history of every single, registered work.
The Enrico Castellani Foundation guarantees the maximum confidentiality and discretion in its handling of personal information and guarantees not to disclose said information to third parties without the approval of those entitled to supply this same approval.
The issuing of authentication certificates, the verification of the works, all of the services provided and the consultations requested from the Enrico Castellani Foundation are all subject to the payment of fees.
